David wrote this in a Mother's Day card to me the year he was leaving for college. I was having a "bit" of difficulty anticipating his leaving.....
Mom - I feel this gift is metaphorical of our Mother-Son relationship. The broach is a flower which is being visited by a bee. And although the bee does not reside with the flower, it occasionally returns to the flower for nourishment and direction - Do you see the metaphor? I love you. You are my flower, and I am your bee! Wear this every day and think of me - Happy Mothers Day 5 Star - David xxxxx |

This is a message I will cherish always. David wrote it in a birthday card to me, his mother. David wrote: "I usually choose longer more beautiful cards! This one is all about the words though. I find the strength to be the person I am from you. Not everyone has a source of kindness. I do - I appreciate & value that. Thank you so much! I hope you find me to be a source of kindness in your life so you can share it with others. Love David" |

David's favorite tradition was choosing our Douglas Fur Christmas Tree. It had to be the most full, perfect, and nine feet tall! |

Marissa created a CD of David's favorite music. She included a beautiful tribute to David that captured his dynamic ability to make each person in his life so special: . . . "when you listen, think of David. Remember him, love him, and keep his memory alive. For Justin, Jeff, Charles, Rachel, Erica, Beau, Mike and Brian. David Nonamaker told us all we were his best friend. Truth is, we will never know who really was. But, if your name was mentioned he has enough love to go around and be there for all of us. We were most improtant to him. David wouldn't want us to cry, he'd want us to reflect on the happy times and precious moments we shared. Pray for his soul and his beautiful family, especially his wonderful mother. We will see David again, in heaven where there is no pain. Somewhere over the rainbow . . ." Marissa Zadinsky |

Thank you from David's Mother:
David X. Nonamaker, Jr.
9/22/1980 – 3/9/2004
It is with the greatest of appreciation that I extend my heartfelt thanks for all the gifts of prayer, time, cards, monetary, and memorials to David. Mr. Abounader and Fr. Jack gave all of us an eternal gift as their tender words painted a rainbow of memories we can draw from in remembering David. Since David’s passing, Erica copied the DVD that truly captures David’s personality, Marissa captured David’s favorite music on a CD and a memorial tattoo on her ankle J, Miss Liz created an annual scholarship in David’s name, and so much love has been bestowed upon me, David’s Mother. Each of you is a loving testament to David’s legacy. Please keep David in your prayers and celebrate his birthday this 22nd of September, David Style!
